The whole dinner all they did was b!tch about the Comair and the whole regional industry in general. I understand that Comair is in a rough situation but they pretty much in not so many words said "find a new job...this place is done".
Aside from them, I have not met a single negative person at this company. I really like how everyone is upbeat and positive that Comair will pull through this.
You have to understand that those guys fought VERY hard to get what they have now and to see it taken away is even harder to accept. They are well within their right to be negative about the situation. They had an opportunity to stay at an airline that would support them through the duration of their flying career. Now there is a large portion of the company that needs to re-evaluate their career path.

People can go to any regional now and make around $23 an hour to start. So it can be said there is no reason for a new hire to care. But, those "negative" guys who have years under their belts are your ALPA brothers and sisters and they deserve your respect.

They've earned it.
