You are missing the point. But like the old joke about asking a woman to sleep with you for a million dollars, then asking her if she would accept 50 instead. It is all about negotiation. ANY of this is pure spitball speculation anyway, but steadfastly drawing a line in concrete will get you nothing... and I mean... nothing. EVERYTHING is negotiable. It is just a matter of what your price is. You might be condemning guys to furlough because you allow no scope concessions. It seems as if there is a belief that if we give nothing on scope, then furloughs will be avoided... interesting leap in logic, but I get it. There is a real possibility that it could have the exact opposite effect. I don't necessarily know that it would, but I am also willing to look at the whole picture. If you don't, we are going to head for the same point in space that American now occupies, and I am not referring to BK, but merely the fact that their line in the concrete has gotten them nowhere for years. Talk amongst yourselves.
