I do believe there is something wrong with colleges nationwide. Take a look at the way higher education has evolved into a mega for profit factory. High ranking College presidents have salaries in the millions, but are not held accountable..
Not all, but a goodly amount of them.
Could it be the individual students fault? What courses/majors are they choosing?
I submit it starts in high school. Economics, civics and history are barely even touched upon there. And no one anywhere knows anything about statistics.
Yeah, there are less-than-desirable people out there running large corporations, but you won't find all that many out there run by high school grads either.
It's never a simple answer. There wasn't this kind of vitriol when things are good. Never is. When things turn around everyone is going to defend their CEO as a genius. Look at SWA.
