I'm supposed to convert to a new category in March. But, my vacation screen still looks like I'm set up to bid vacation for my old category (when I ask to see weeks available, it shows weeks for the DC9.).

I'm in the same boat as you (and quite a few others I suspect
). Reading through the contract brought me to part of the answer. You will bid for whatever category you are in 31JAN12 (1st day of the Feb bid period). So you will bid for DC9 vacation; at least that much is correct.
As far as taking that vacation with you to your new category, I'm not sure. I'm not expecting to get anything to write home about in either category, so I'm not really worrying about it this year. If you find out for sure, let us know here though. I'd like to hear the answer to that one too.
