Basically you are taking the job from somebody who needs it. You might even be taking it from another furloughed guy who really needs it. GJ may think twice about hiring another furloughed guy. So the only person you screwed was the next guy who needed a job.

Yes, GJ did make it more difficult
for all of us. An airline set up as a shell game to circumvent a current contract and pilot group,
and the people who chose to work there, drive the pay down and hurts us all.
As I understand it, it was required to get around the AMR scope restrictions at the time. They couldn't put larger planes at the same certificate as the TSA E145's that were already doing AMR scope flying.
They may have gotten extra mileage with the alter ego wipsaw, but the primary purpose was to work around scope. If TSA flew those CRJ's you'd have lost all your AA flying.
