To the mods, I understand your point I guess, but why wasn't the DPA idea used? Make a post with a warning for everyone then deal with people who don't listen.
The way it is set up, every Mod has the autonomy to moderate they way they want. It is done this way for many reasons. I give a general warning when things are crossing the lines, but some do not. It is my guess they handed out the infractions as a message to the posters of this thread.
