I didn't gloss over it. The company said the were unlikely to change it. Much of you contract is written that way and we'd like to have something a little more solid. If you get a chance look at a UAL contract. You will not see phrases like "we'll try to", "most likely won't" or "have no intentions to".
As a group we can take on the company and win. Your leadership doesn't see it that way. He has his own agenda.
