Does anyone have any recent experience to share with doing a preclearance at Shannon? Instead of doing Germany to Bangor, then onto MSP, it looks like Shannon is 250 miles or so closer to great circle if I dropped in there. I've had good experiences with BGR customs, so just looking for some "been there, done that" info from anyone who has done Shannon recently.

I've never done it personally but my operation gave up on it because their experience was even if you "clear" in EINN you still may be required to visit customs once on US soil.
