Default Working in Asia with little experience?

Hi everyone,

I've spent the last 5 years living in Tokyo and Hong Kong, and have spent lots of time visiting other countries here too (particularly China, but also Korea / Vietnam / Singapore etc).

I'm still living in Tokyo but very recently became unemployed. I'm looking at beginning training for my fATPL, but my concern is that it seems very difficult to find flight work in Asia in general. Eventually ending up somewhere like Korea Air or one of the China airlines would be absolutely perfect ....... but is there any way to get hired without having a lot of hours under my belt already? Is the only pathway to working in Asia to spend years working in Europe first?

I'm very hesitant to pursue any new career path that would force me to leave Asia ... although I'm quite flexible as to my location here and what type of work I'd be doing at first.

If anyone knows more about what options would be available to me please let me know. I'm flexible for the most part ........ I just really don't want to leave this part of the world =/

Thank you!
