I like raw score. I like the fairness it presents because I think it provides a large % of the group with a high QOL whereas a seniority based system provides a much smaller % with nearly the same high QOL they'd gotten anyways.

At the beginning of the month we're all 0 and it's seniority based. No problem with that. If a pilot wants to go up 15 or down 15, have at it.

But this is the deal, I think for those sitting 50% or below which is the full or partial weekend crowd, they'll fly the same as they do now. I think for those sitting 50% on reserve who are the bottom or plugs of the weekends off crowd, they'll double their work and that may extend right up to the 25 percentile doubling their work.

Somewhere in the single digits they'll fly 0.

But it's all where the threshold is set as to how much is skewed from the middle to top to pay the very top. That's my angst. On ATL88B, I think 80 points is way too high.

I suspect it will go more senior, but not as senior as it did prior to CH11.

Also, FtB, given that the M88 block hrs are going to be going up by about 20% over the next few months, reaching a 80 on your raw will happen with two four day trips. Prior to this fall it took no time to get to 80 and I was generally timed out by the end of the second week. As more move in to 2013 and beyond, we will not see the over staffing that we do now. Just remember how much we generally were used prior to this latest pull down.

I might actually have to go bid a line somewhere because we know that the 14 hr SC limit on International Categories will be the last thing implemented as part of the FT/DT

Of course, YMMV
I know the 88 flying will increase as we move through the year but they monkey with the numbers anyways. We had 110 on reserve in January, 75 in February. Where did the 35 go? 32 more lines, 3 disappeared probably with concrete shoes in the meadow lands.

What I see is if you could hold weekends off (50%-ish on reserve) you basically had the same QOL as the top 3% but you just flew earlier in the month. Now top 5% get the month off the remaining top 45% will work a lot more. Give or take %s. I'd rather have more getting more than substantially less getting it all - and it makes no appreciable difference then what they have now.

Hence, lower the bucket thresholds.

Or else....
