I don't know, I'll have to pay closer attention now. Interesting to see other ANR users are having similar trouble.

I have three complaints about my Bose. One, it squeezes my outer ears and really hurts after a couple of hours. Two, the material on the ear padding has flacked off and unless I use a fleece cover, I have black stuff all over the side of my face. Third, the ear pads have come unglued and seperated from the ear phone. They are about 2.5 years old. I keep them indoors, and never leave them in the plane (since they might get stolen and to avoid extreme hot or cold temps).
You know your supposed to replace those every so often. The book recommends every 350 hrs, less if you wear glasses or have beard. I got 1000hrs out of mine last year, I thought they where fine, but Bose replaced them during warranty, I can live with that. I had problems with head sets with the standard DC ear seals squeezing my ears, which get really uncomfortable. No problem with the Bose ear seals.
