This doesn't really make sense because on my first day on I can be scheduled as early as 6 am as long as it is on the schedule before 3. Right now there are no notes on my schedule, and my first day on call is in the next month, so I don't even see how they would know that. How does that work? can they not give me short call or I can't get a trip till 6:55 or was he wrong?

I think you get 9 hours plus the :55 minutes off your next x-day. Your next long call period should start at 9:55 am with a required schedule check after 12:55 am. This does not happen automatically. You have to call scheduling and inform them. It sounds like you talked to an uninformed scheduler. I would call again. It will show on your schedule.
