They might not be on a bankruptcy contract, but they took significant voluntary pay cuts. They didn't shoot for the moon. They tried to get back what they gave up voluntarily. The lesson here is never give anything up voluntarily. Everything they gave up, management just took as bonuses. Their pay cuts never went back into the airline as intended.
