Aside from the military v civilian comments, I've seen companies take single pilot cargo TPIC (BE99, etc) as TPIC. It checks the box and allows you to continue to the interview. This is where it becomes very subjective. As you can see by the comments in this thread, we all have a bias toward our own background. One hopes that if sitting across from someone of a different background, he or she can overlook that bias and allow you to shine.
