I put this here because I'm thinking of FDX/UPS, but I suppose the question can apply to any major carrier.
When larger airlines want pilots with 1000hr Turbine PIC, does ANY turbine satisfy the requirement? What about the RJ FO who has 1000 PIC in a Piper Cheyenne, or another light aircraft with a turboprop STC?
Are they looking for PIC time in a transport category aircraft, or do GA planes satisfy the hiring boards?
And somehow morphed into a military vs civilian vs single pilot vs crew debate. Lets put it back on topic.
