When larger airlines want pilots with 1000hr Turbine PIC, does ANY turbine satisfy the requirement? What about the RJ FO who has 1000 PIC in a Piper Cheyenne, or another light aircraft with a turboprop STC?
Are they looking for PIC time in a transport category aircraft, or do GA planes satisfy the hiring boards?
I know a guy that got hired last year at FedEx that had around 1,000 hours PIC in EMB-110 (single pilot!)
and then was a RJ FO.
I'd imagine if you can put it on your profile it will count. But what do I know?
