You shouldn't have to use a zed, ID90, or any other pass if you want to jumpseat. List ahead of time, check in at the ticket counter in Mexico and identify yourself as an OAL jumpseater. They will collect your taxes there and put you on the standby list.

I can only comment on the loads in general. We have flights to SEA, SFO, LAX and Friday Saturday Sunday service to SAN. SEA is almost always full no matter what day of the week. You can nonrev/jumpseat to the other cities if you nonrev against the herd, i.e. fly down on Sunday, return on Friday, as apposed to trying to fly down on Friday and trying to fly back on Sunday.
