Heard that CAL MEC folks confirmed they expects training to shutdown for summer because they need max bodies on the line. So it seems for now if your not in by April then classes won't resume until fall.
Not to nit pick, but it's been like that for years - except when we're furloughing.
End of April/early May till mid-September, the training department/check airman are either flying their asses off, or on vacation; since they're "usually" senior enough to get summer vacation weeks awarded.
So really, this is not "new" news.
