The ATI, CCIA merger is alreay occurring. An integration plan has already been submitted to the FAA and a some CCIA people are already in LIT.

I've heard that CCIA people will still have operational control while ATI flight controllers actually do the paperwork/ff for about 60 days. Then ATI will take over full operational control once the FAA signs off on it.

While the 757 is a 1 for 1, you need to count the other 767s coming in property for the possible growth. There is at least one 767-300 @ ILN right now and two more are being ferried in over the next few weeks by ATI. Granted ATSG has final say who gets them but......

Another thing is, as far as we've all heard, CCIA has 5-6 lines of DHL 727 flying and two with the 757. In addition there are two 757s just sitting around that we can offer up once they are put on the ATI's certificate.

My personal feeling is that ATI and ABX will be housed in the same building down the road but will be two separate companies. The ops departments are completely different (resources and automation) and basically ATI can do a lot of flights cheaper then ABX.

Will be interesting to see going forward.
