This has nothing to do with restoration - it's a negotiated benefit. I'll celebrate anything I can get.
I thought someone would misunderstand what I'm saying. I'm not complaining about the profit sharing check. I'm happy to get it. I was only making the point (which I thought was obvious) that we shouldn't forget that, while nice, the profit sharing is a very small drop in the restoration bucket. We would need almost a 70% increase in our pay to get back to 2004 C2K pay adjusted for published inflation. Just to get pay parity with SWA pilots, our domestic narrowbody pilots would need almost 50%. I know you realize this. I just think "celebrate" is a little too strong a word to describe an appropriate reaction to something that amounts to an additional 4.5%, when we have SO far to go. Would you be celebrating if we get 4.5% increases on the next contract?

Look. I'm just trying to make sure folks are keeping their eye on the ball. Not saying you aren't.
