Im sure the best thing you can do for your 1400 plus on furlough is to have pipe dreams. >>

My furloughees, your furloughees....aren't we 'Our Furloughees', fraternal brother?

From Bloomberg article:

<<Considering how much attention the labor pacts have gotten, it’s a surprise to find out that there’s near-universal agreement—among management, labor, and industry analysts—that the airline doesn’t really need the pacts to capture most of the gains of the merger. Other than mixing and matching flight crews, there’s little that the lack of joint accords prevents them from doing.>>

Good news for you people and 'yours' is that what coffee is contracted and what tie/sweater combos our gate agents wear has our "management co-workers" tied in knots and burning the midnight oil, so we should stay in divide and conquer organizational mode out on the line for the forseeable future.

Oh, and they are mixing and matching flight crews by hiring furloughed guys into indentured servitude on the L-CAL side frozen at year X pay until such time as one has rowed the galley for X years or returns to the L-UAL side and, you guessed it, stays at year X pay for another year. Now that's career progression prison style. "I'll give ya five packs of smokes for your furloughee"....."you're my furloughee now, b$tch".....and so on.

Lastly, can't wait to do a five day with you, mate. You seem like a real team building people person.

Did you just say, "You people?",
