It would have to be 45-50 percent to put us on par with Southwest. Thanks to ALPA's brilliant contract survey, the majority of our pilots really are uninformed.
Now I'll talk about our new reserve system. This is going to cause our pilots to fly all of his/her monthly trips in a short period of time. I just flew 9 days in a row. Now I'm in bucket 2 and probably won't fly for the rest of the month. Our senior pilots who have yet to fly will eventually be number 1 to go when everyone above them reaches bucket 2. They will then have to fly 8-9 days in a row as they will always be number 1 to go out. Now junior pilots will fly heavily in the first half of the month while senior pilots will fly heavily in the second half of the month. How is this better than what we had? I would have voted against this, but I did not have that option. DPA cannot come soon enough in my opinion.
Sooooo lemme get this straight. You flew 9 days... and will be off for the rest of the month... and you are upset about that?? So then what you are telling me is that those great 9 hour turn arounds are NOT gonna go senior? Damn.. I am so confused.
