My stance is if one couldn't walk into the ATL pilot lounge and proudly announce how they bid/got their schedule then they shouldn't be doing it.
Those that willingly exploit the trip-park loop-hole I would guess choose to remain rather discrete. I would hope that the majority of those that do trip-park do it without recognizing the harm it causes [junior] pilots.
Glad to learn that the loop-hole will soon be closed! And yes, I always knew of your opposition to parking.

The copilots I fly with are quite proud of it, that's the only way I found out about it!
Now, in their defense, in my category (ATL777), it got started because our trips are such that the only way you can get a 75hr. line, or close to it, is to bid a cary out/in trip, every month.
When 90% of your trips are 5 day 30hr. or 6-7 day 42hr. trips, it's impossible to build a line between 67-82, unless you split one at the end of the month. And there are only a limited number of trips that cary out, so for the rest of the guys, they 'park' one, pick up one, then un-park.
But once word got around about this 'technique', it became more of a High Time Game. "Wow, did you hear about Joe? He scored a 120hr. line!"
BUT...since the last two bids have both had a lot of displacements out of my category, I think guys are starting to see what the net effect is when half the category is flying WAY above ALV+15 and the reserves aren't flying at all.
