I know what you mean Skybolt. I used to fly F-27s and toggle the fuel trimmers during the start on those old RR darts to hit the "not too hot, not too cold" EGT target. At the risk of outing myself as a real gray hair, the big R1830s and R2800s on the DC 3s and CV440s were a real thrill. You had to know the personalities of each engine on each plane or you would never getrdone!

Now, with either the V2500s or the CFMs, just flip the switch and let the ECAM tell you if the magic is taking care of a bad start. Both start the same, but when the gray is going away on the Vs, the CFM driver will be halfway to the runway.

Hey blue drivers. I hear you guys start the second one as soon as the start valve closes on the first one. Has that been working out for you? Any long term MX issues?
