Roughly 900+ original DAL pilots hired after me were put on the list in front of me, and every single one of them is younger than me. I didn't like it then, I'm not thrilled about it now, and it got me permanently displaced from my left seat. It is also water under the bridge. It is pointless to expend energy over something you have zero control over.
Did you get displaced out of the left side simply due to the SLI or by how the company moved airplanes around? How did your side gain a little by relative and still lose simply by the SLI?
