Good points. Most 781s with me as A-coded PIC would probably have me as the only IP and then a copilot, but I can't be 100% sure. In some cases a flight may have two IPs and I just drew the short straw as A-coded PIC. At some point, though, an employer should accept the word of a pilot and his logbook, no? I mean, how would a civilian pilot prove PIC time except for a logbook entry?
I agree. In a perfect world, you should be trusted. But there will always be someone, somewhere--maybe with an axe to grind--who wants to know. And if that someone is an interview Captain at your dream job, well, it would suck to lose that opportunity just because of some paper you didn't keep, no?!
