Actually, the Concorde has the worst accident fatality rate of any commercial aircraft. It only takes one when the airframe numbers are small. A quick review of MD accidents shows that almost all of them are gross pilot error, not a reflection of the aircraft, but small numbers of airframes operating in a difficult environment.
