With your situation it probably doesn't matter either way... you will get some 121 time.. get current, and see what flying Pax is all about. However, I would probably choose any of the big players if I could live in base. NOT commuting will make a year or two stay at the regional level semi bearable. Hopefully then in a couple years as the age 65 retirements materialize... with some recent 121 time and your military background you very well might get picked up early in that hiring cycle. What do you think about working for a DOD contractor flying Kingairs in Afghanistan? I have a pretty good shot at getting hired by one. The paycheck would be MUCH bigger, and I would get plenty of TPIC. Just not 121 time. I've heard a variety of opinions on this subject.
