So even though I would recommend it (despite the weight), I've been considering the 22" purdy neat with the clip on duffle, just to avoid checking it and losing my gear at the beginning a long trip... I just don't know if it would be enough room.
Strongbags gets my vote hands down. I have the 22 inch original and it's still trucking hard. I commute and have had mine going on for 5 years. I had my neighbor weld it for safe keeping but I'll never buy another bag. If you have an issue the owner will call you on the phone or email you same day and take great care of you. To me customer service means a lot and I'm not sure of the purdy neats but strongbags is awesome.
