Couldn't agree more. This horrible, god awful cycle will just continue for eternity. We as pilots will always be our own worst enemy.

With all this talk of 170/175s coming here, or talks of airbuses (god help us all)...

...I can't help but say that anyone who thinks bigger planes at Eagle is a good thing...is an idiot.

And no, I won't take it back.

The FO wages at all regional airlines are so pathetic it's enraging. Senior folks at any airline don't seem to care because why? Well because "they got theirs."

Since I'll never be a captain at any airline i'll never be an individual who could use their experience in whatever organization happens to represent its pilots in helping to end this madness.

Remember in 2007 when AEALPA said no to an increase in 1st year FO pay because the company was "manipulating pay outside of negotiations"? (or some other simliar sounding garbage reason.)

That former MEC chair, at that point, had lost all touch with the reality of what it was like to "live" on 25k a year.

Much like the union heads in the early 90s who said no to RJs at mainline.

Much like the current generation of lawmakers that are gutting education, somehow not understanding that you are destroying any future American children might have in a very competitive world.

Cutting off the nose, despite the face is the running theme.
