Anyone going into their proby ride needs to know that the point system doesn't apply. I know of two pilots who never had any problems get let go after busting their orals. They never even touched the sim. Eagle is overstaffed and they are finding ways to get rid of pilots before a furlough. Furloughs cost $$$$ so make sure you study and be on your A game.

Don't worry, probies. If you are squeaky clean going into your probation ride, they won't fire you just for a busted oral. I'm sure the above mentioned guys had other issues that raised flags, i.e. douches, bad attitudes,
bad probation reports from captains, maybe a heated argument with the examiner after the bust.
Take your job seriously, study, have a good attitude (even after a bust). You will do just fine. There are plenty of guys that have busted probie rides and plenty of them are still here.
