I'd rather take a paycut and see the money goes to a coworker that's more underpaid. Heck, after 20 years here, I get 100% of 8% match. That's an extra 8K extra in compensation alone, about 4 months of new hire pay.
Perhaps you should contact ALPA and get their support for having the new-hires call the shots ?
I mean it sounds like you guys got not only Eagle, but the entire industry figured out. But hey, here's my question to you;
The situation at Eagle what it is, WHY did you CHOOSE to take employment there ?
-Pick One;
A. I had no clue about the industry I spent $50-75,000 for qualifiaction in.
B. I failed to do due dilligence in selecting my employer.
C. I DID know Eagle had long upgrade time, but I though coming here anyway wouldn't be a problem if I could complain on an internet forum.
d. All of the above.

What, working to make Eagle compensate as much as possible for the work performed ?
Nope, no problem there.

There is a crowd there who advocates exactly that. Many of them ARE part of the "me" crowd, that's why they declined transfer to AA. They believe that they can undercut AA and get larger planes or get DOH in an SLI. Some just couldn't psychologically be F/O's again.
I can't connect the dots on how reationalizing reducing pay or making Eagle an upgrade puppy mill would promote preventing your hypohisis. It's true though that this industry is a product of
Airlinii Pilotus. Pilot's greatest strength is their instinct to push anyone under the bus that impedes their own progress across the street. I don't expect that to change, just descend to a point of it becoming intolerable. If I haven't left by then, I will. Listening to some of you guys make that all the more certain IMO.
