You kinda negated yourself so lets just make it simple for everybody including yourself.

DL Employee Buddy Pass Priority = S4 & date of HIRE of EMP.
Pinnacle Parent = S4 & date of TRAVEL.

Buddy pass traveling courtesy of the most junior DL EMP will be before your parents ANY DAY.

Nobody forces you to work for Pinnacle or any other regional either. Nobody forces you to pay taxes either. You do both I bet, and don't like neither.

Not begin forced to do something doesn't make a wrong right. None of us wanted DL employees booted off of planes (hack they are our providers and credit is due where its due), all we wanted was stuff that we had in the past back. As well as the right to come first on our planes, especially in a new world where delta is making us BUY the god damn airframes.

DOM Partner yes. Registered guest NO.

We have employee, spouse, dependents.

Parents who pay surcharges that don't make sense (and travel on a travel date sub priority)... IE BOS-LAX,BOS-SFO,JFK-SFO,JFK-LAX costs 3 times more than LAX-HNL....
explain?

Dom partners have same arrangement as parents I believe but not sure.

No buddy passes at all, no registered friend, no companion, nothing. Need to help your mother in law once in a while to come see you? forget it.
