Now THAT much I can completely agree with. That has been MatlinPatterson's MO from the start. It's precisely what happened at ATA after our admittedly leadership-challenged management was maneuvered into unloading our MDW gates and LGA landing slots to Southwest. It would seem the MatlinPatterson folks are not in the business of running airlines....they are in the business of artfully trashing them, selling off the pieces, picking the carcass and making a ton of money in the process.
