Yea.....Go to a state school with a big football/basketball program. Talk to the hot college girls, make friends outside aviation, marry a blonde girl that is in law/medical/nursing school. etc etc.
If this website was around when I was making my decision I would have near 75k less debt. I saw the part about your grandfather, and that is all well and good, but is it worth an extra 100k for you to say that "Riddle is a part of your life"? They stopped being a part of my life the second I finished there and stopped giving them money. Every airline that I have interviewed at were more impressed that I worked at Capeair than that I went to Riddle.
I have roughly 100k in loans left to payoff (way less than you'll have after 6 years at Riddle). My airline pilot salary thus far has not come close to being able to pay anything more than the interest on them.
Edit: I forgot to mention that you DO NOT GET the "4 year college experience" at Riddle. I had to travel every weekend over to UF/FSU/USF/UCF to get anything close. Spring break and the cheerleading national championships are fun though!(which you won't get in Prescott anyway)
