Same thing happened to me with the purple nuggets.
I am thrilled to see new guys come on the property but that is a bad deal (and big pay loss) for all the other guys that have MEM MD11 on their bid.
Definition of Passover Pay from CBA:
"60. PASSOVER PAY
An hourly rate of pay which is higher than the hourly rate of pay a pilot otherwise would earn and to which such pilot may be entitled as a result of a junior pilot’s activation out of seniority order."
After further searching the CBA and barring any odd situations, a
first year narrow body SO would be entitled to receive $65.32 (1st year WB FO pay as of Mar '12 bid period) upon activation of a junior pilot (completion of IOE). Subsequently, a
second year SO would be entitled to $148.20 (2nd year WB FO pay) upon activation of a junior pilot.
I searched the CBA for a clear statement dealing with the link between passover pay and a junior pilot filling a crew position (both equipment and domicile) that a senior pilot holds in a vacancy bid. Anyone know where that might be?
CBA lawyers please chime in if I am incorrect.
A hearty welcome to all the new FedEx lottery winners.
