Go to a real university and get a non-aviation degree! Get your ratings on the side from a local FBO. You'll spend a good 100k+ less, have a lot more fun, and get a higher quality education than the east florida all-boys school.
I realize this is a pax thread but you will have an advantage if you go to an aviation university like ERAU if you want to work for FDX or a few others....FDX now has hired a company to do the hiring and recently made a presentation on the new hiring process...you get a bunch more points towards getting the interview if you attended an aviation school...I know 2 friends who have similar backgrounds and the one from ERAU is in MD11 school and the ohter has heard nothing yet!!...I understand this company is being looked at by other airlines to do their hiring process as well...anyway that's it!..later
