As much I would love to see a ready reserve period getting cut to 4 hours, I understand we can't get everything we want. That being said, there is no reason why we can't adopt the contract provisions of first ready reservist not having to show up until the earliest duty in at the base and being automatically released after the last flight is airborne. It is really frustrating when there are no flights on the board and they still refuse to release you. (not that that keeps me from making my way out of the airport) If they need airplanes moved around the airport or ferried, they can call nap reserve peeps.
