They can't change the benefits on a whim. In fact the current non rev benefit is much better then what we once had which was 15 dollars per segment for every flight if you had less then 10 years with the company. The company once made a unilateral change in pass benefits. DALPA filed and won a grievance. The company sent me a nice 3000 dollar check for the increase in my previous year non rev fees. 50 is a bargan compared to those days.
Hence my point. It is a perk of the job and Dal eats a lot of costs we never see. They can change that at a whim now and that needs to change. Same goes with offering health care except out two pilot protected plans.
