I know, that's why they don't have to be in-laws. UAL guys can add one extra pass rider that can be anyone you want and change it every year. Buddy passes are more flexible with who uses them, but the last three times I've had people who wanted a buddy pass the cost of the buddy pass was not worth flying standby so they bought tickets.....one time they actually got a ticket for $40 less than all the buddy pass fees!

I really don't care much about it and I think what we have is just fine, I was just saying I thought it was a good idea to have more pass rider options and do away with buddy passes. It would be interesting to see how many people use buddy passes now with the fuel surcharges coming back.
