The new bucket system with it's high thresholds has basically returned reserve to a seniority only system. The focus is on honoring seniority above all else.

So it made me think, if we're going to honor seniority why do we have a different system for WS pick up than we do for GS pick up?

Why should a senior pilot have to wait until everyone else has had a chance to get a GS? If we're going to bring seniority back into the mix, then GS should be no different than WS, seniority first no matter how many you've gotten. Isn't that the way it used to be? Why not return to it now?
