Speaking for someone who has spent a great deal of money getting to where I am, to be held back by a new law put into place, I would like to do what I can to create a possibility.
Just wait until you're a JR 121 captain, flying with the brand spanking new-hire FO's. We'll see if you're singing the same song then.
While this law isn't a be-all end-all that some make it out to be. It's one of the first things out of the FAA in a whole that I agree with.
