I think most reasonable people would tend to agree with you.
However, in defense of this site...
most blog-bulletin sites have a tendency towards useless trash talk unless they require a valid, traceable ID. It's very difficult to move anonymous sites out of the "trash talk/entertainment" category without accountability.
