T, I think you are missing the point. If DAL doesn't start offering top tier wages, we will become a parking lot for newhires waiting for the best gig. Just like what happened at TWA or Pan Am in the late 80's. I remember AA made new hires sign a bond agreement back in the 80's to prevent this type of behavoir.
We will know it is hurting when the bean counters start some sort of training bond for our new hires. That time isn't here, yet. But, I could see it happening in the foreseeable future.
Simply put, we are no longer first choice for a lot of people. It has everything to do with compensation rather than advancement.
