Even if they interview you now, it is common to sit in a hiring pool for several months. If your company is firing you, why would you not interview now? Who cares if you missed one day of work for "personal" reasons. I would be blasting out resumes to every conceivable point on the globe. It's easier then it was a few years ago to find a job but it is still not easy, it's a bit more like winning the lottery (then again I'm way out of the hiring loop these days). To answer your question depends on how desperate the airline is for pilots. If they are flooded you might get one phone call. If you don't pick up your resume goes in the trash. If the need pilots they will shedule whenever you would like. The question then becomes which operator you want to work for. If you have a choice I would stay away from the one that needs you.
