Getting your ATP is a benefit to yourself, and the written is cheap. Why not just go do it? It wasn't a requirement for employment before, but due to federal law it is now... If I were a company, I would say have your ATP written complete 12 months from today, or be prepared to turn in your resignation.

But that's just me.
