Yes, but if that wasn't in any language prior to employment then it should be the company's responsibility to pay for your written. I'm sure the union side will agree. It's kind of like have a phone. Company won't pay for one so how can you expect a pilot just to get one so the company can get a hold of you? It's a contract issue. So I think making a currently employed pilot go get a written without being reimbursed would be against the current contract.
If it ain't
explicitly mentioned in the CBA, odds are very good the company won't be liable for it.
