The bridge program can teach switchology and some cockpit procedures, but cannot teach real-world IFR (there are shades of grey to be found in the real system) and IFR communications...only actual flight experience can do that.

Low-timers in general (including bridge types) are more likley to have problems on IOE, with communications and visual approaches, especially in a jet that does not slow down just because you wish that it would!
