I'm not "pushing" anything.
It just looks like, to me, the whole Global bankruptcy thing looks like prepackaged deal to make the sale of the remaining assets palatable to Atlas.
Remember this...ATLAS approached Global with an offer to buy NAA. Global said, "No dice, unless you take World, too." Atlas didn't want anything to do with the MD-11s and now they're gone, as are the 757s.
Leaving what? The 767s and the 744s...all of which fit the Atlas fleet perfectly.
It just makes me think there's something in the wind. Now, I know you Atlas boys would prefer to grow organically, but even SWA (the kings of organic growth) recently proved it makes economic sense sometimes to grow through acquisition.
So don't get all defensive. No one's pushing a merger agenda. I'm just looking at the facts and drawing some conclusions. Your mileage may vary....
