Pinnacle's future - is future. Not present. All speculation.

Frontier is an amalgamation and poorly run airline. Nothing short of a sell off can save that place from BB. The very few parked chataqua 145s are being used outside of airline service for charters where they can.

Speaking of the present - 5 minutes on wikipedia/apc reveals appx ~890 50 seat RJs currently flying in service of legacy airline branded operations in the US alone.

Far from dead.
You're not understanding. The 50 seaters being removed from the Comair fleet are not
being shuffled. They're being parked. Sent to the desert.

Frontier is parking them because they don't make money. That's why regionals are losing money. The airplanes haven't been profitable for years. Only the FFD contacts have been keeping most regionals heads above water.
